Senior Managing Director, Interest Rates
Ryan Chin

Ryan joined HOOPP in 2021 and is the Senior Managing Director for Interest Rates, with responsibility for overseeing the investment decisions and strategic direction of the Plan’s interest rate programs. He is a member of HOOPP’s Tactical Opportunities Committee, contributing to asset allocation decisions for the Fund.

He brings more than two decades of experience in global fixed income trading and portfolio management, having held roles of increasing seniority at a leading Canadian investment dealer and one of Europe’s largest investment managers.

Ryan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with Honours from Simon Fraser University, an Associate Diploma (ARCT) in Piano Performance from The Royal Conservatory of Music, as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. In support of Canadian amateur golf, he represents Ontario on the Governor’s Council at Golf Canada.
