Angela Waite

As Chief of Staff and Corporate Secretary, Angela plays a dual role in ensuring effective Board governance and driving strategic initiatives. As Chief of Staff, Angela oversees cross-functional projects that advance enterprise priorities, supports executive decision-making, and acts as a key integrator across the organization. As Corporate Secretary, she is responsible for supporting the Board of Trustees and its Committees, upholding the highest standards of governance, and serving as a trusted advisor on board processes, and stakeholder engagement. With a focus on alignment, execution, and governance excellence, Angela serves as a critical partner to both the CEO and the Board.

Over the past 15 years, Angela has held progressively senior roles at HOOPP, most recently as VP, General Counsel, Corporate & Governance, and Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining HOOPP she practiced pension and benefits law at a leading Canadian law firm. Angela holds both a B.A. and M.A. in political science and obtained her law degree from the University of New Brunswick.
