HOOPP has been selected as one of Greater Toronto's Top Employers for the fourth year in a row.

We are pleased to receive this award which recognizes organizations that demonstrate workplace best practices for retaining and attracting top talent. Key to receiving the award this year was the importance we place on showing compassion to employees, members, and community, which permeates throughout HOOPP and is aligned with our greater purpose.

Specific reasons for our selection include:

• Maintaining policies that support employees through all stages of family planning, including maternity and parental leave top-up, coverage for fertility treatments and drugs if needed ($15,000 and $20,000 respectively), and paid personal days that help employees balance family commitments (up to seven days per year, that includes an anniversary day reflected annually starting after your first full year).
• Our mental health strategy that includes ongoing mental health training and coaching for managers, partnering with a third-party organization to provide access to mental health practitioners at a reduced rate, and organizing seminars facilitated by experts speakers.
• Our membership offering for HOOPP’s defined benefit pension plan, which helps employees prepare for retirement.
• Enabling long-term peace of mind with health benefits that extend to retirees (50 per cent premium coverage, no age limit).
