Steven McCormick is HOOPP’s interim Chief Technology Officer, having transitioned to the role in April 2026 after serving as Chief Pension Officer for more than 14 years. He is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership
to the Information Technology team, while delivering high-value technology solutions to the organization and our members.
With a distinguished career in the financial services industry, Steven has held progressively senior roles in both retail banking and pension benefit administration. Prior to joining HOOPP, Steven was the Vice President of Retirement Plan Services
for a large multinational insurance company, where he implemented customer service strategies and programs that resulted in customer base growth. He also led the transformation of service tools used by clients to improve client satisfaction
and increase self-service capabilities.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Carleton University.
