How many decisions are you making today?
As a HOOPP member, there’s one big decision you can check off your list
Did you know the average person makes approximately 35,000* decisions every day? That’s shocking, right? Well, we asked some HOOPP members to make real life decisions on camera. Watch this video to see what they said.
The reality is that many of the decisions you make each day are easy, quick and won’t have much impact on your life. But what about the bigger decisions? The ones that can affect you for years to come, like whether to:
- Keep working or go back to school?
- Rent or buy?
- Or, one that gets dodged quite frequently: save for the future now or later?
Are you travelling or taking up a hobby? Regardless of what that is, ‘future you’ will need the time and money to do the things you enjoy. That’s also what most call “retirement” – being able to do what you want, thanks to years of saving. The good news is, HOOPP has you covered.
As a HOOPP member, you have a leg up on most people. You don’t have to worry about all the decisions that come with saving for retirement on your own, like:
- Mutual funds or stocks?
- Financial advisor or invest independently?
- Low or high-risk investments?
Doesn’t sound like a walk in the park, right? Investing on your own is complex and can be very expensive. Retirement security is a big deal.

*Some in the scientific community (Krockow, E. (2018). How Many Decisions Do We Make Each Day?) estimate the average adult makes 35,000 decisions a day. Others might disagree. No matter the number of decisions you make in a day, how you save for the future still isn't one of them.
